The term animal cruelty gets thrown around a lot but an animal activists definition of animal cruelty may be very different from that of a hunter.
Animal cruelty cases make headlines around the country every day whether it's the person who kills the neighbor's cat the hoarded of sick and dying animals or the family whose starving freezing dog is tied up outside in the middle of winter.
However when it comes to animals other than cats dogs people concept of the term animal cruelty varies greatly.

While some might base their definition of animal cruelty on how much the animal suffers or feels pain during death the amount of suffering is not relevant for animal rights activists because the animal are deprived of their right to live and exist free of human use and abuse.

Animal cruelty is categorised into two types:
1. Passive cruelty - it is the unknowing that animals face as a result of careless and neglecting owners. Most times the owners fail to realise that their pet is suffering due to what it is being put through on account of them.

2. Active cruelty- it is second and most dangerous type which also means abuse.it is the intentional harming, hurting or even killing of animals.

Animals are not our property to do things with them, so we should save the animals.
